Overview

Flower Bed Weeding, done by hand

A beautiful flower bed is also the perfect weed nursery: rich soil, regular water, and fresh mulch. Spraying around delicate plants is a gamble, and tilling disturbs roots you want to keep. Hand weeding is the only method precise enough for a mixed bed.

Your weeder pulls weeds by hand, root and all, working around your plants — and you tell us at the first visit which plants to protect. Weekly visits mean weeds come out when they’re small, before they tangle into your perennials.

Think of it as flower bed maintenance with the weeding done right: we don’t plant, prune or mulch, but weeding is the part that never ends, and it’s the part that decides whether a bed looks cared for.

Problems we solve

What we fix with flower bed weeding

Weeds woven into perennials

Bindweed, quackgrass and thistle thread through clumps where a sprayer would kill your plants too.

Seedlings in fresh mulch

Mallow and dandelion seed lands on top of mulch and roots down through it within weeks.

Weeds that look like plants

Young weeds are easy to mistake for flowers — we ask, and we’re careful about it.

Edges and tight corners

Where beds meet lawn, walls and fences, weeds get a head start the mower can’t reach.

Our process

How it works

  1. Show us what stays

At the first visit you point out plants to protect and rank your beds by priority.

  2. We pull by hand

Weeds come out root and all, working around stems and bulbs.

  3. We bag and remove

No piles left behind, and no weed seed dropped back into the bed.

  4. We repeat weekly

Small weeds are easy weeds — weekly visits keep beds clean with less effort.

We’ll knock on your door to get your priority listAt your first visit, walk us around and point out your weed areas, and we’ll put them in order of priority: #1 first, then #2, and so on. Every visit starts at #1.

FAQ

Flower Bed Weeding FAQs

Will you pull my plants by accident?

We’re careful, and you tell us which plants to protect at the first visit. If we’re not sure whether something is a weed, we leave it and ask.

Can you weed my vegetable garden too?

Yes. Because we never use chemicals, hand weeding is safe around vegetables and herbs. Tell us your rows or raised beds and we’ll work around them.

How often should Utah flower beds be weeded?

Weekly during the growing season (roughly April through October) is ideal. Weeds are tiny and easy to pull, and they never get to set seed.

Do you mulch or plant flowers?

No — we pull weeds, and we do it well. We’re happy to work alongside your landscaper or mulch crew.
